Photos from my last day in San Miguel de Allende last December, at the Botanical Gardens with the wonderful Laurie Zuckerman (an extreme BIRDIE, birding expert and talented artist). What  a lovely place to spend a few hours. Laurie's knowledge of birds was astounding! And the landscape, spectacular!

And then there was San Miguel...

Magic, pure magic! This sums up San Miguel de Allende, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. I took this photo in a small village outside of San Miguel, in a town of basket weavers, who use reeds from the local river...unfortunately, they were not out the day we visited, but there were so many other treasures to see.
