Susan Boyle's "Cry Me a River" has me doing just that.

Just when I thought I had been "wowed" enough to last a decade, a recording of Susan Boyle singing "Cry Me a River" just turned up. Have the hankies ready...truly unbelievable.

Now THIS is talent!

Susan Boyle's amazing performance on "Britains Got Talent"...just reinforces what I'm always telling my kids (usually met with a response of much rolling of the eyes): "NEVER GIVE UP!!"

The lyrics are so moving (from Les Miserables) And, even though the song has a sad tone, it is truly uplifting:

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night

And still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be

I had a dream my life would be

Discover how to manipulate various media including acrylics, fabric, paper and text–while learning the art of simple attachments for found objects. ArtFest Slideshow

Back from ArtFest 2009

I just returned last weekend from ArtFest, a wonderful art retreat held in Port Townsend, Washington. As usual (it's my 5th year attending), I was filled with the 'creative' spirit, made new art friends and reconnected with old ones. See more of my photos at my Flickr site.
