Guess what I'm working on today?  Encaustic texture class examples for my upcoming workshops at ArtSpot in Edmonds, Washington. How much fun can a person have?

Pinata-making party near San Miguel de Allende!

During my recent trip to San Miguel de Allende, we were invited into a home to make wonderful pinatas! The family was beautifully gracious, and allowed us to make our pinatas during their dinner hour, in their kitchen, without one complaint! The entire family gathered 'round to watch us "gringas" make pinatas, led by the "master". What I remember: beautiful poinsettias growing above the central courtyard, a black and white bunny roaming freely, lots of glue on my fingers, giggling siblings,  a full moon overhead, love all around and...acceptance.
