New work at Hanson Scott Gallery in Seattle!

"Lucid". Suffused with light, Barbara De Pirro’s exhibit spans all dimensions including Sculpture, Installation & Painting. Submerged in the interplay between light & shadow, she translates each, interconnecting her inner world into reality.

Lisa JonesMoore will be showing her recent new work from the series "Lines in the Sand", encaustic/sand/shell 2D pieces. Influenced by Anne Morrow Lindbergh's "Gift from the Sea" and Lisa's own beach walk meditations on life over the last 12 months.

Show runs February- March 2013
Opening Feb. 7--SEATTLE 1st Thursday Art Walk/5-8 pm
Artist Reception/Feb. 23. 5-7 pm

Beeswax Valentines

Spend the afternoon "waxing poetic" with warm beeswax and collage elements! Create beautiful valentine art while learning the basics of collage. We will combine warm beeswax with various items such as lace, rice paper, "found" text, images and vintage ephemera. Your friends and family will truly be in awe of the small works of art (or greeting cards) that you create. All levels welcome! Supply list available at registration. All Levels

Contemporary Encaustic Basics

Discover the basics of working with encaustic wax and it's use in today's contemporary art. Here's the FUN part: you will learn how to paint and fuse layers, add color with mixed media, collage and texture! We will also cover materials, equipment, and studio safety. You will finish the class with a good working knowledge of the encaustic process. Level: Beginner
